Bright Lights

Just as she had drifted into the darkness, she was slowly drifting back into the light. To be in this floating state, not concious and yet not unconcious either was sickening to a person who most of all wanted to be with her family and friends. To talk, to laugh, to share the many awkward yet hilarious moments with the people she loved. A little by little, sounds from the room started echoing in her mind, and the air was suddenly easy to breath in, as if the suffocating feeling from before had just vanished like it had never happened.

Helena heard her friends talk, the dirty jokes her sister cracked and the silent laughter from Vidar and Lyo. They were all there, she culd hear them, she could feel their presence. Oh how she wanted to join in on their happy conversation, she knew by heart it was just their way of dealing with the seriousness of the situation, to handle the fact Helena was in coma. To Helena herself however, being so worried was rather funny, why worry so much? it wasn't like she was dead? In fact she felt rested and refreshed, but just as she dared to move her fingers, an overwhelming darkness captured her mind once again.

''Remember my words'' the voice sad raspily, almost a whisper. Her grandfather's face flashed before her eyes.
''Do not wake it up, do not disturb it's eternal sleep''

And then it was all gone. For a moment everything was empty, she was just the shell of herself, no darkness, no light, just a sickening emptyness.

Then came the bright light.
As if someone had forced her eyes open, Helena suddenly regained her conciousness, fighting the bright light causing a burning sensation in her eyes. She sat up on her elbow, even though she heard her friends tell her to lay back down. Suddenly everything got really busy around her, but at least she was awake. Slowly but steadily she got more aware of her surroundings, her eyes adapting to the light little by little.

While attempting to make a joke, she soon found herself surrounded by all the people she cherished and loved, and she was finaly wide awake.

Helena is awake, happy ending for now! ut ohohoh AM I having some awsome next chapters to this just you wait, this is not the last time Helena encounters the ghosts of the past!
